Seventh Heaven

A high pitched noise woke me up this morning. Much like every morning. Mother had set something in the house on fire again. I think she does it to keep me from getting any sleep. It happens every morning at 3:00 AM. Same routine. The alarm in my room goes off, then I have to run around the house with the fire extinguisher looking for the fire, while Mother sits on the couch laughing to herself while she watches her favorite Saturday morning cartoon, "Sonic the Hedgehog." I know what you're thinking, "not every day can be Saturday, and wasn't Sonic taken off the air?" Well, she has tapes of all the episodes, and the episodes still have commercials in them which she refuses to fast-forward through.
Where's the fire today Sephy? Found it yet? How 'bout now? Did you know Sonic is the fastest thing alive?
The fire was in the kitchen today. She set the blender on fire. I extinguished it, and she came running into the kitchen.
You found it! Good job. Wanna play again?
"No Mother," I told her, "I'm going out."
I grabbed my coat and threw it on, and headed to the Nibelheim branch of the quickly expanding bar chain "Seventh Heaven." The bars were a great place to go, especially for me. They're open all hours, and they're all run by stacked women wearing tight, white shirts. Yes, of course Tifa Lockheart started the chain, but no, she didn't run the one in Nibelheim. I don't know what happened to her. I don't think she and Cloud stayed together after all. Cloud I know is living in his villa in Costa Del Sol, but I heard after she lived with him for about a week, she left. Something about he wanted to stay by the beach and she was sick of the beach with all the people waiting with their cameras for her to leave the house in a bikini. Anyway, it doesn't involve me.
The bar was empty except for the waitress Heidi. I very rarely ordered anything to drink since I was always there before the sun rises, so I always just had a glass of water and some peanuts. At least Heidi was there and not Jennifer. Jenny and I were on bad terms ever since the day that Mother came with me to the bar, and misconstrued my thoughts. Mother can read minds by the way. She read my mind while I was having a thought about how nice it would be if Jenny were suddenly soaked in water. All over her shirt. Mother acted on my thought, but took my idea to a new level. See, Mother watched Carrie the night before... I think you understand. Jenny hates me now, and I really don't blame her for it. I tipped Heidi, and headed home for the day. I'd already left Mother alone for about ten minutes during this trip down memory lane, and Mother can do a whole lot of damage in a short amount of time... I just hope Sonic hasn't ended.
