The Biggest Mistake

     On the road again!

I could almost swear Rufus planned on us going on a long trip. Mother was in the covered bed of his truck playing with Tiffany and Edwardo. Rufus had brought both of them and even bought a special carrying case for Tiffany.
     Are we there yet?

"Not yet Mrs. J," Rufus said.
     It's Miss you know...
     "Mother, stop flirting with Rufus."
No, seriously. I've never been married. You should know that. I may be your mother, but I didn't birthitize you. That's what Other Mother was for. So it's Miss.

Reeve was quiet the whole drive. He stared out the window the whole time while clenching his fists nervously.
"What do you have to be worried about?" I asked him. "I'm the one that's going in and doing the dirty work."
"It does mean the success of my company," he replied, not breaking his stare, nor unclenching his fists. "I'm also having second thoughts. If I'm seen helping out with this, it'll be traced back to my company and could ruin my company in itself."
"So what do you want me to do?" I asked.
     STOP THE CAR!

Rufus slammed on the brakes at Mother's command.
"What? What happened?" Rufus asked, spinning to face Mother.
     Edwardo has to pee.
     "That's all?" Rufus asked angrily.
"This stop will work," I said. "Mother and I will get out here, and you and Reeve can go to Costa Del Sol first, inform the people with the plane that we're coming, and I'll take care of the rest... which includes taking care of Mother."
Rufus drove off with Reeve, and I was stuck yet again with Mother. It was a short walk to Costa Del Sol since we were dropped off right beside the beach. Only about a half a mile. Still, it was taking a while to get moving since we were waiting for Edwardo to do his business. I don't think this day is going to go very well, however. It seems I can't stop running into people.
"Hey look everybody! It's squishy brain and her virgin son."
Of all the people in the world, I least wanted to run into Marlene again, but it didn't look like I had a choice in the matter right now.
"Yo, Marlene," Barret was still with the young demon, as was his buddy Dyne. "I thought I told you that's not how you greet somebody."
"Hey Niggapapa, I ain't puttin' him down. Abstinence is a good thing, and you've done it for like, thirty years now. Good job Sephiroth, jack on."
     "Yo! Marlene! Enough."
"Fine, I'll greet him your way," she turned to face me. "Hey Seph. Wat up ma brotha? Me and da boyz waz jus' comin' tru and we sees ya. You remembers me, right? You betta' 'cuz we waz tizight."
"I'm disowning you," Barret said and started walking, but came back knowing he's the only thing keeping Marlene from destroying the civilized world.
"Hey," I said to Barret, well aware that it could be the worst decision of my entire life. "You're a professional terrorist, and right now, I've been hired to take down Shin-Ra. You up for it again?"
"You know I come with baggage," he said, looking down at Marlene.
     "As do I."
Yeah. Tiffany's annoying. She never shuts up. And as for Edwardo, he never knows what's going on.
"Hey!" Marlene started yelling and pulling on Barret's jacket. "How come the dog gets to piss on the ground in front of everybody!? I have to go too, but when I started going, Dyne stopped me."
The entire group seemed to move a bit quicker with Mother and Marlene in the party now. Before we knew it-
     I knew it.
Before the rest of us knew it, we were in Costa Del Sol.
