Rules For
Submission:
1. Send an e-mail (through the link
on the left) with the following information:
--The Subject of the e-mail you send
me must be "SOE E-mail"
or something very close to this,
otherwise I may discard it thinking
it's spam.
--The Subject of the fictional e-mail.
This should be somehow worked into
the body. If you do not provide a
subject I will make one up for you.
--The e-mail itself with brackets
around it to filter out any additional
comments from the actual e-mail itself.
For example:
"Hey man, heres an e-mail from
Zell I luv him lol hes so funny and
the subject is "I broke my leg"
[Dear Squall etc.] btw keep up the
site dude!!1"
This will help me filter out what
is Zell's e-mail versus your own.
Oh, and if you guys write me with
spelling/grammar/abbreviations like
in my example then I may be forced
to kill you. English please.
--The name you'd like me to credit
you with. I will give credit to everybody
that submits an e-mail, but if you
don't provide me with one explicitly,
I will NOT guess what name to put.
Even if your e-mail tells me your
full name just by the automatic name
filled in by the sender, I will not
put it. I don't want to put any names
on my site without your direct permission.
If you do not give me a name, I will
label you as 'Guest.'
2. Watch your @!%^ing language..
I allow certain language on my site,
but if you haven't read any of my
other stuff, I aim for PG-13. For
an idea of what I allow you can read
through my other works or just ask
on the forum.
3. Locked Characters
Locked characters are reserved
for writers that are dedicated to
the series. Either avoid mentioning
locked characters (not recommended)
or read the following rules regarding
locked characters.
*3.1. Check the forum for character
locks.
There is a post on the forum to lock
a character. This means that if you
submit an e-mail as a character that
you really like, you may request
a character lock on the forum. Simply
make a post and ask if you may or
may not lock a character. I will
read the request and decide based
on your previous posts if you are
allowed to lock the character. If
I approve it, your character will
be locked indefinitely until either
you choose to unlock the character
or until I decide you haven't been
making posts enough and somebody
else would like the character.
*3.2. Do not mess with locked characters.
I know that people will talk about
other people in their e-mails, but
if a character is locked, then that
probably means somebody has plans
for them, so don't mess with their
character. Basically you can still
mention their character and please,
read through their e-mails and talk
about things they've already talked
about (from a new point of view of
course), but don't move them or discuss
what they've done in too much detail
without contacting the owner of the
character lock. This means you shouldn't
say something like "Irvine started
cussing at the waitress and they
kicked him out of Winhill and now
he's going to live at Trabia"
if Irvine is locked. Respect other
peoples' characters or the e-mail
will not be posted.
4. Only use important (named) characters.
There have been unnamed characters
previously used, but I have decided
to eliminate this. Previously used
characters will be allowed by the
Grandfather clause, but no more in
the future. Sorry.
5. Only 3 e-mails per update.
It's exactly what it sounds like.
You can only send in three different
e-mails until I update the site.
Also, of those three, only one per
character is allowed. No writing
an e-mail, then a follow-up to the
same one. Just put it all in one
e-mail. We're pretending the e-mailers
review their e-mails and don't forget
things. It takes a bit of effort
and time that I don't have to post
up SOEs, so make sure they include
everything you want them to say.
6. Don't be intimidated by a long
list of rules.
I know it sounds strict, but please
send the e-mails. I love seeing people
participating in the site. It really
does make my day. This is for FUN
ONLY! I check my e-mail often and
will most likely accept anything
sent to me, so start sending e-mails
in! The more e-mails I get, the more
compelled I'll be to update my site.
I'll try to post up SOE things as
often as possible, and it just might
motivate me to update other things
at the same time.
Disclaimer:
There have been many e-mails made up
for this series. If you or somebody
you know actually has one
of these accounts for some odd reason
and you'd like it removed, please
e-mail me and I'll remove it immediately.
I tried to make these accounts as
obscure and oddly specific as possible
to avoid existing accounts, but on
the chance that somebody does have
these e-mails, please tell me.
Note: It must be exactly the same, down
to the .net. I just want to ensure that
people aren't getting spammed because
of my site. |
